General Rules & Regulations

It is expected from all trainees of 'JDS Private ITI' that they should aim to conduct themselves according to the highest standards of manners and discipline. Their behaviour and attitude will be decent and they will obey and abide by rules and regulations applicable to them. Some specific rules and regulations are mentioned below:

  • Each trainee should attend his / her class in proper time mentioned by the institute positively and regularly.
  • Punctual and regular attendance is essential for good progress in studies and conducive to moulding of character.
  • If any trainee fails to attend within the prescribed time for whatever reasons, his / her presence will not be considered.
  • Classes are held in different shifts depending on the routine and time table prepared and notified from time to time by the institute.
  • The class schedule may extend on certain days to accommodate mandatory classes.
  • The institute will function on six days a week schedule.
  • Practical Exercise book to be maintained by each trainee for daily practical works during the period of his / her training, as per direction of his / her trade instructor.
  • Trainee(s) must have to maintain minimum 80% of attendance in classes to eligible to appear in Internal / Final examinations after the completion of trade duration.
  • Any form of leave shall be addressed in advance to the Principal or his / her representative stating the period and reason for leave applied for, no trainee will be given leave without submitting a leave application. The application should be signed by the parent / guardian (hostel warden in case of hostellers) of the trainee.Else the trainee
    will be deemed absent without permission.
  • In case a trainee is absent for more than three consecutive days without furnishing valid reasons, he will be admitted to regular classes only if accompanied by leave application letter from his / her parent/guardian.
  • Absent without permission will be treated as misconduct and a fine will be charged. For leave taken in excess of permissible leave, a fine will be imposed. Any repetition will lead to serious disciplinary action against the trainee.
  • In case of illness, a medical certificate from a recognised medical practitioner is essential.
  • The trainee's identity card will be issued from the institute and trainee must wear it inside the institute premises.
  • Two sets of uniform materials will be provided to each trainee. Any trainee attending classes without uniform will not be allowed in the class and marked as absent.
  • Trainee(s) must wear shoes while attending classes.
  • Apron is must for all requisite workshop classes. Trainee should procure shoe and apron before the starting of the class.
  • Fees will be received at the cash section of the institute from 11 a.m. up to 1.30 p.m. during the working days.
  • Safety regulations must be followed otherwise Institute will not be responsible for any injury or disablement caused due to nonobservance of the prescribed regulations.
  • Trainees will be allowed to appear in the 'ALL INDIA TRDE TEST'(AITT) conducted by the NCVT, Govt. of India on the basis of the mandatory compliance obtained from the institute.
  • Absence from any examination without sufficient reason (reasons beyond his / her control) will be regarded as a serious breach of discipline.
  • All the tools and equipments should be used carefully, otherwise damage charges will be taken from the associated trainee(s) as per norms.
  • Each trainee or his / her parents or guardian must meet expenses of damage(s) of intitute’s property, due to negligence, wilfulness or disobedience of orders or rules. Depending upon the seriousness of the case, this will lead to immediate expulsion from the center.
  • No trainee is allowed to play in any team against the team of the institute.
  • Use of mobile phone is strictly prohibited in the campus.
  • Trainees are not allowed to bring jewellery, motorbikes, transistors, radios, cameras or other such expensive and electronic gadgets inside institute premises..
  • The center will take serious note of willful breach of discipline, acts of misbehaviour, such as use of obscence words or actions, disobedience, fights inside or outside of institute premises.
  • For breach of discipline within or outside the institute premises, the Principal / Vice Principal / Officer In-Charge / Instructor In-Charge of the institute may :
    1. Impose a fine on a trainee
    2. Suspend the student for one month or less
    3. Expel him / her from the institute for such period as he/she thinks fit.

In such an eventually, the trainee will not have any claim for a refund of any fees or amounts paid to the institute.

Note : Above mentioned rules and regulations are subject to additions and alternations by the management of the institute, as may be required from time to time.
